Hit a local park I've been curious about or few weeks. It was a beautiful day and I was ready to fill my pouch with park clad! @scrappy told me that the park produced few keepers in the past but not to hold my breath. He met me at the location and we put our coils over some dirt. It was slow for me at first. Steve pulled a barber dime which gave me some hope.
We were shadowed by two local kids whom were ready to investigate every plug we dug, and tried to grab our gear at any occasion (I'm sure most of you know that joy). [emoji57]
I dug a 1920 Merc! Then first older find was a flat button. After few more minutes, and not far from button spot, I dug what I thought was a LC. I called Steve over and after we got a closer look Steve told me it's a hard times token "probably 1837" ...and he was correct:

A 1837 Hard Times Token-Mint Drop Bentonian Currency
I kept digging clad, then some more clad. After an hour Steve left and I decided to get off the slope and try a different section. 15 min later I got a clean high tone on my Deus and thought it was another clad quarter. I saw a silver edge and was hoping for something older. And older it was...

I saw the reverse and knew I had a Reale!! Totally not expecting an 1808 1 Reale at a local park!

Pretty great Sunday! These keepers definitely made me work (around $10 in clad is a lot of squats and plugs)
Here are the mercs from today (1916 is a S mint)

Happy Hunting TN!
