As an effort to get out of a particularly nasty slump I have set an easy goal for myself which I plan to carry for the year. I have not the time or energy right now for high volume, not that I ever really did. I am aiming to find one silver coin per week. Just by having this goal it gets me searching and finding and one is probably a low number. I started in March and picked up a free 2014 planner from an unnamed vendor to keep myself accountable. I am searching between $50-$100 of dimes and $20 of nickels each day unless I can get half dollars in any sort of abundance. Work gets me to the banks almost daily so this isn't difficult.

So far in March:
1st full week: 1962 dime. Teller tray from a teller which I buy all of her Canadian coin once a month. She almost always has American silver mixed in with the Canadian. Ironically no Canadian silver yet.
2nd week: 1966 half and a 1964 quarter. Half from teller tray and the quarter from laundry money.
3rd week: 2 1963 red seal $5 US Notes, 2 silver dimes 59 and 62. The red seals caused a flury of activity when the teller pulled them out of her drawer. She did not realize what she ha and the other tellers noticed right quick.
This week so far: 1964 half and 1965 half. One from the same bank as the other also in a teller tray. I heard they had a bunch of rolled halves too so I bought some today and pulled the 1964. The rest will be mine tomorrow. Silver therapy. Pics! Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

Ever since i first saw this thread i have been trying to hold myself to the one a week as well, and it has kept me hunting, and not just picking up boxes... it has keeps me closer to the tellers, talking to them and asking for oddities. It has also pushed me to keep at dimes when the halves are slow, which has slowly been building up my dime stack. Well, this week goal was reached before i even really went hunting. i was dropping off a box and when the teller started counting cash i noticed a white edge in the half tray.. scored a 40%, then in town, i went to use a coin counter at another branch but it was broke, so i asked for halves instead and ended up with 2 more 40%ers.. so no matter what is/is not in my boxes, im already good. HH

Scoring early in the week makes everything else feel like a bonus. Glad it is helping you add to the pile.

No silver today but...found these proofs. The 79s is quite frosty on the faces but the edge looks like a casino coin.

Well I didn't make the goal this week. I was pretty busy with work and didn't get as much coin as I should have. Ended up searching around $300 in CWR halves and maybe $180 in dimes. No silver. I should have had more like $300-$400 in dimes. Next week...

The last few weeks have been slow for me to because of work. Had a 67' Canadian dime last week and a 44' D war nickel this week. Lets hope this up coming week will be better for both of us.

Found another proof quarter today. 1995 S clad.

Wow, I have been super busy again. I havent even had time to log in :( I continue to hunt every opportunity I get but dont have time to make a point of hunting.

I have most of the tellers saving halves for me now and it is paying off. I stopped to make a deposit last week and the teller was excited to see me because she had 7 rolls of halves she was wanting to get rid of. When I started opening them I knew it would be good. One roll had 2 silvers and the rest had not less that 3 silvers in each roll, several had 4 and 5 or more. One roll had 10 and had silver on both ends when I checked it. I attached a picture of that roll.

The 7 rolls gave up 33 silvers, all 40%. I went back the next day and she had forgotten to give me the $7 in loose halves from her tray which gave me another 2 silver. Total from this collection was 35 silvers! Enjoy! I sure did!

Always nice to find a stash like that. I pulled ten 40%ers like that last week!

Found 8 more today! Got these from 5 CWR. One was an ender.
