One Silver Quarter

I had to work today, but was able to leave after lunch. Unemployed Tnetter, Smittyman, did not have to work today so he agreed to join me at the park-like spot, where I found the walker yesterday. Imagine that.

The place coughed up some coins, albeit degrudgingly.



Smittyman found a Merc early on and I was feeling the pressure.

Luckily that passed when I flipped this plug.



The days reward was: 7 wheaties and a ‘54 Washington.



The real reward was enjoying the afternoon outside in the sunshine with a guy who reminds me of my grandfather.

The site is large, maybe 15 acres, old houses torn down and grass planted. Lots of trash and house demolition fragments, but coins too. It’s been hunted but obviously not that well, because I’m finding wheaties and clad quarters, plus three silvers coins (4 including Smittyman’s), in two days.

I will do my best to clean the place up!
