Oldtimers Got me today
was in a great mood, flying high on 5 cups of Hightest Coffee
and all of a sudden realized my phone was nowhere to be found
not knowing if I left it at home, Lost it in the woods,
Or if I were to need it all of sudden what I would do.
so time to pack up & head Home
Phone was sitting here yet

anyway Not even long enough to find 1 Coin,
But I do believe the hunk of Copper wire may be worth a few Wheats...
weight wise.



and a Vintage Sterling Ring
at least satisfies me enough to not turn around and go back today.

Jeff, that ring certainly looks to be very old And I also keep all the copper junk dug ,and when there is enough it goes to a scrap dealer.

Yes I wish it was Round.
I have snapped so many old sterling rings over the years, Just by fixing them Myself
so I won't be fixing this one. Not sure it's worth paying a Jeweler either at this point.

But I definitely think it's at least pre 1930

Congrats! nice old silver ring! maybe a little older that 30's. Nice copper collection too.
I once found a section of copper pipe that weights about 3 lbs. : )
I made the mistake of "packing light" last Sunday & got rained out after an hour. : (

it's been threatening rain here all day.
something come down as everything outside is Wet.
& yes I agree ! there is always something left behind.
and it's usually something good
I've always felt that way.

yes it's strange how that works.
I can go a long time without finding a particular item like a ring,
then all of a Sudden they pop up regularly for a bit.
now if only that would work with Large silver & gold coins

Jeff , Having worked as a jeweler/silversmith since the early 1990's , I can say that unless I saw cracks in the shank ,I would feel very
confident in simply slipping that over a ring mandrel and pushing it up by hand - Silver that slender will conform without any
need for a mallet .
