I left the detector at home and took my 2 year old to the park. This park is in a very historic area and has seen hundreds of years of early military action. We were scratching around some bare earth spots under an OLD tree where I've found some pipe stems in the past and found this. I thought it was just another rock until I took a close look at it. Only my second musket flint in almost 8 years.

there's usually a lot of steps between eyeballed flints, better odds on donuts:award_star_gold_1: find something good with the detector next time out
