Orange/Red and Green stones. Glass?

Let me start by saying I am a clueless noob. Any help would be greatly appreciated.





These are covered with a white chalk like mineral. I shot them both wet and dry.

Slag glass I'd guess.

Thank you. Ant suggestions on how I should remove the "chalk"? I have a Thumbler tumbler and media for pistol brass.

Glass. As to removing the chalk you can try a mild acid bath. A brass tumbler will probably just haze it.

The collector passed in '76 so I have no way of knowing.
