We need signatures to stop the state of Oregon from enacting bill 64, that means metal detecting not allowed on private property, relic collecting not allowed anywhere :-[ in Oregon. >:(

Signed. As soon as one state lets this pass, so will many others...

i signed it , i'm #599

Yea I signed it too... but I also read it was put aside and never made the floor...

I signed it too but understand it's dead. How in God's name do these people get elected to drum up some looney legislation like this. With all the problems in our country today you would think they wouldn't even have time to think up such stupid ideas. I'm voting Libertarian next time.....get off my back you money sucking commies.

Even if dead, I still signed!!

A permit? Don't be silly... They'll tax you first. ;D

Land of the free went out with Thomas Jefferson. I once admired the man until i really read what he wrote on running this government. The man was practically a communist.
It is why Adams and Jefferson fought so much, everyone thinks Adams was the bastard, but it wa really Adams fighting for freedom in this county and not Jefferson.
Jefferson is to blame for Emminent Domain
Jefferson is the reason that no matter what you pay to purchase a home, or buy land, it is never yours. Even if you "pay it off" it is never yours as all land belongs to the government.
Oregon has done several lame brained things like this over the years, expect more legislation like this in the future.Another case of government run amok and freedom being trampled.

I hope that this is not a dumb question (even though it's been said many of times that the only dumb question is the question not asked) Do I need to be a registered voter for that state to make my signature count?

I'm not, and I signed it anyway with comments... because even if it doesn't count - I got my comments in there.

I also told them if it was enacted I'm never going to spend a dime in Oregon... ever.

i signed too!
from lower Alabama :)
Seems like there are some people with too much time on their hands thinking up stupid stuff to do. Why can't they come down here and help me dig in this hard clay?

I added myself to the petition! This bill SUCKS!

The thought of that bill had me in a bad mood for some time. I do a lot of detecting in Oregon and let me tell you had that past I would have lost my marbles. >:(
