Organized my entire collection

Well, I finally bought more flips. Not overly happy with the quality of these compared to the ones I had to start with, but they'll do the job I guess... I had a few binders from hockey cards left over as well, so got pages for coins and finally went through my "original" collection and bundled them all together with my finds. I have my US ones in one binder, highlights from the original collection include: 1954 Quarter, a 1945 Merc, 3 ND Buffaloes, as well as '42 and '43 Walkers and a '51 Franklin. 2 90% JFKs and 5 40%'s as well. Best by far were a 1922 Silver Dollar, as well as a 1921 silver dollar I didn't realize I had...

By far the biggest portion of my collection were Foreign coins though. My great grandmother, Aunt, Mother and sister contributed heavily to these. I've found coin from 20 different countries while CRH'ing, and now have coins from 37 countries total. Highlights included: 1925 5 Reich pfennig (Germany), 1933 One Florin (UK?), 1920 1 Centavo (Mexico), 1934 Commonwealth of Australia One Penny, and the best: a 1882 Zanzibar Pysa. I've had it for a LONG time now, thought it was a toy when I was little, thankfully I wasn't dumb enough to let go of it. Besides the 1 LOW grade flying eagle's I bought at a show, this is my oldest coin. I'll post some pictures eventually here.

Anyone know of a good mix of cheap/quality for flips? The ones from Wizard Coin Supply are meh. Thanks, and happy hunting!

Rosco : I usually wait til a coin show is in the area, then stock up on supplies. Your building quite a coin collection from all the postings over the time being made. If I may ask, how old are you, and how long have you been CRH/collecting? Your well on your way at this pace, keep it up.

I too have branched out into foreign coins and now have researched and categorized 347 coins from 35 countries and placed them in 2x2 cardboard squares in an overstuffed 3” three ring binder. I have several hundred more foreign coins to research, categorize, and add to a second binder, too much fun!
Your 1933 One Florin is likely a Republic of Ireland. Does it have a harp on one side (obverse) and a salmon on the reverse? If so, it is 75% silver! You got me beat, my oldest One Florin is 1951 (Cu-Ni).

Yeah, there's only 1 coin show within a few hours of me yearly it seems, and when I went I didn't realize how into this I'd get. I'm 33 and really just started CRHing towards the end of March, same time I started posting on here. I "collected" coins as a kid, got a lot from my grandmother and various other relatives. Christmas I'd always get a coin slab from publishers clearing house with random ones in them... Relatives would pass and I'd inherit a few of their coins. The foreign ones came from my mother who went to Germany twice, and my sister was an avid traveler so I inherited her collection as well, basically. Did the state Quarters when they came out but that lost steam when I went off to college. Never was really a "serious" collector, baseball and then hockey cards were my main targets, but those are just getting too expensive. Have so many cards I got on e-bay that have decreased in value so much, couldn't justify it anymore. Then went through a career change and was unemployed for a bit, couldn't afford cards and had a LOT of time on my hands. Started with $4 worth of cent rolls trying to complete the Lincoln years, as my sister had a baggie of most years since 60 with P/D. I was fortunate enough to pull an 1888 Indian Head and cent from Panama in those 8 rolls, and I was hooked. Was fortunate that when I started there was a coin show within a month, the only one near me, so went to that and got a lot of good info and really opened my eyes to this world. I expected a few old folks in the hotel lobby or something, but this was a conference center with probably 600 people around... All downhill from there!

These are all yardsale finds. Yes, one is copper but it is an 1844 Uruguay - 40 Centesimos I have listed on feeBay right now for $499
