Found these two in a field on a point that protrudes into Lake Champlain. Recently discovered that this is where the first settlement was in the area and luckily still mostly wooded/residential. I was able to ID the button easily enough but the date range was from late 1800's to 1970. Does anyone know more about these buttons? It says Leopold Morse & CO Boston on the back so I'm leaning towards the older side of that range but would like a little more info if anyone has it. As far the clip piece goes I haven't a clue, any ideas?

The ornate piece is often referred to as a picture hanger.

All the backmark book says is that the buttons are post civil war.
