Orofino Creek

Anyone have experience on Orofino or Lolo creek in Clearwater County? Looking to hit these this year and any info would be appreciated.

I did check out the GPAA Idaho Special 2 claim on Lolo Creek a couple of years ago. Found a little fine gold but nothing to write home about.

I have also found fine gold on the Clearwater River down river from Orofino around Gibbs Eddy on Highway 12.

That's been my same experience nearly every ware in Clearwater county, fine gold,and exciting when you find 3D piece and rare to find pickers. The Clearwater river has actually shown the best gold for me to date. Gibbs Eddy is good and I have found a few places that good and a little better but nothing awesome yet. Best stuff I have found within 1.5 hours was on the Salmon near riggins, and I have went as far as Red River, crooked creek area.
