I was out hiking along a stream with the wife and I spotted this horseshoe in the stream about under a foot of water. I could just make the out line of a horseshoe. Also found a pottery shard. The stream is by an old mill where confederate activity during the war took place. History is that the mill produced wood timber for the confederate army. I have no way of knowing if its original period or some other time.
