Camped over here last night. Good views wherever you look. Nice day with only one light shower and 27 overnight. Made it back in time to check out a normal sunrise on the lake.
I'm thinking you saw your breath that morning. Nice view of Elbert. I've been on the top of that mountain many moons ago (about 22 yrs old ??). I got up top and there was a group of folks with gear on like they were heading up Mt. Everest with ropes,down suits, goggles and all. All I had was a jacket, blue jeans, heavy sole boots, water and a pack of smokes. It's a spectacular view from the top. Not sure I'm up to doing that again, but my daughter wants to try it, so maybe I'll give it a shot.
