Today was DAY 2 of our 6 day hunt of the Outer Banks (Northern Section). The Nor Easter cut the beach down even more last night, about 6-10 more inches of sand came off. The wave action still covered the entire beach during high tide in the morning. We met a local today who showed us his prize find which was a BIG gold ring with 3 large diamonds, very nice. While he was with us, my Dad found a Spanish Silver Cob! Yes, he did the dance in the middle of the beach, he located the cob closer to the dunes (top side of beach), I located 2 more rings, as funny as it sounds I found an EXACT match to the ring posted yesterday, and an AVON Sterling Silver ring with fake stones. My brother also located a ring which he is posting seperate look for RIVER RAT's posting. In total today, my Dad, myself, brother and mother found a total of 171 coins, 1 Spanish Silver Cob, 3 rings, one old coin encrusted in coral, will work on it to get it out. One picture is of an old ship wreck exposed from the storm, it is underwater during high tide........
DAY 2 Totals:
83- Pennies
