Hi;

Just finished tumbling this very crude bottle which I assume to be some sort of small food jar. It is very non uniform and loaded with bubbles. No embossing other than a P. P. Co on the base. Dug from a Nawlins privy many moons ago. I looked in David Whitten's Glass Bottle Marks link but do not see it listed. I did a cursory search on Yahoo and Google as well but no joy.

Anyone familiar with P.P. Co?

Could have been the owners initials or the name of a company that sold pickles or peppers

Peter Piper selling his pickled peppers?

Yes, something like that

There's a local company to me , Panola Pepper Co., but they started in 1983.

Paterson Preserving Company of Paterson NJ is a possibility, I will check a ketchup of theirs I have to see if the embossing is the same...
