This point I found was trying to look like something much older than it actually is. :P This is a Woodland point.

Our do creeks can look paleo sometimes. Get excited every time. Cool find

I'm not even sure what to call it. I know it isn't a Beaver Lake though It came off of a Woodland site. The base or sides are not ground at all.

I always mistake woodland for paleo. Prehistory repeats it's self!

There were later people who collected arrowheads along with fossils & crystals. Doc Gramly's crew found a Clovis point in a stone box burial.

If I remember you are a Southern Indiana man, and I can't think of anything down there that would look like that and be Woodland... Copena points aren't well represented on our side of the Ohio River, and those that make it across generally don't have that auriculate look. (If you were down in Tennessee/Alabama I could see that coming off a Copena site.)

Wonder what the conclusion was .... I wouldn’t think woodland period

Maybe if a Fishtailed dude and a Foxy Creek girl got together for a little cross cultural hanky panky, they might produce an offspring that looked sorta like that guy, but otherwise I too would be guessing possibly an unfinished late Paleo era point?
