Park Finds

I went out for an hour and a half today to a local park to test my detector. I previously swapped out the factory coil which I confirmed is toast after 12 adventurous years. The up side is it wasn't the housing that was the problem. The chunky religious medallion is of St. Christopher with the message "Our Lady of the Highway Protect Us". It might be Silver or it might not.... The quarter on the right is from 1968, so there's some silver content there. All in all, a good short outing.

Congrats on the finds! Unfortunately, there's no silver in a 1968 Washington quarter, but it's still a big coin to pull out!

The medallion is brass with a little of the silver plate still intact.
If the earring is still dirty it may be silver.
