Low-tide here this week is around 5:15 pm, which is great since I don't have to get up super-early to get in the water. Unfortunately, finding parking on a barrier island any time during the day is nigh impossible, even where you pay. I'd take an Uber to the location and leave my car at home, but it'd cost me an arm and a leg. Do any of you have a solution for this?

If I were Napoleon, would recomend a forced march.

How far south do you want to travel?

Go on vacation and get a beach front hotel.

Strap your equipment to a bicycle with bungee straps.
Get a ride from a friend/relative.

I don't think Uber/Lyft would appreciate wet/sandy equipment in the backseat or trunk.

Electric Bike. A must have in your situation.

When in Fla. - and parking tough - i have my GF drop me off north or south of where there is good parking
and i work my way to her
this has worked very well for me
electric bike would be ideal - you can find free parking inland that might be free
and ride to beach
Bus may be an option or trolley which may be cheaper than parking
up here if you get in and park before 8am - they let you get away free
some stop charging after 6pm

I have riden a bike to difficult to reach locations and park truck 1 - 3 miles away. Eletric bike idea even better. I just strappped my detector and scoop to the bike and off I go....

I'd love that option, but I'm still trying to pay off my Minelab Manticore. I can't afford an electric bike yet.
