Found this in an old park. It says PAT. PEND. Looks like a wide hook. Has a nail going through it. Any ideas? Thanks.

My first thought is some kind of really old electrical wiring clip.

I was in an old cabin once that had remnants of early 1900's electrical wiring. It was non-insulated, solid silver wire fastened to the rafters with metal clips. A real fire hazard just waiting to happen...

I search the net for a bit but couldn't find any examples on line.

Maybe a tire balance weight for a wooden wheel. (Not likely?) :dontknow:

I think it has something to do with being a ground wire for a house.
