Greetings,
Dug this lead handbill printing plate today, about 2-1/4" X 4"
could not field ID, thought it was a tax notice, (Thanks Photoshop)
"Attention retail druggists
we lead, never follow!
as of march 1896 Hobbs Little Liver Pills
are now reduced to 10 cts"
Note the handy 'Takeapill' Dispenser!
"Hobbs little liver pills don't gripe!"
And a lot more small print.
My liver could use some.
thanks for looking, HH, Herbie.

Man Herbie, Your just tearing up the old relics.
That is a very , very awesome find.
After a little research, it seems Dr. Hobbs had his hands in several remedies. :D
This article goes along with your find!

Thanks 4-H, So Hobbs begat Carters, of the famous saying,'more whatever than carters got liver pills'
Been resizing pix, posting, & browsing others finds, never even got to research Hobbs yet!
Thanks again for the link, Good Day, Herbie.

Yes it is, Like I said in OP, Thanks Photoshop !

I've been collecting patent medicine bottles, advertising, and related stuff for over 30 years. I have to say that's a very interesting, cool find. Thanks for sharing! ffd

That's a really neat find! I would ink it and make new labels with it and sell them on ebay to bottle collectors.

That is one sweet period print plate.
You now need to see if you can find one of the bottles used for those pills.
That with any old paper advertisements, would make a great display.
Carl
