Got home and did my own lawn for the first time. In 14 sq ft I got 12 pennies and some other stuff. Half the holes had multiple targets. Every time I set my pinpointer on the soil it kept going off, and I thought it was broken or shorted. But there was more stuff nearby! I literally couldn't move 2 ft without finding another penny, but they were all modern.

If you have a neighbor like mine, he may be planting or throwing them in your yard to find....he thinks it's funny to see me digging up my back yard...

I found a coin spill last Feb, which consisted of 1 nickel and 279 pennies. Only one penny was a newer wheat. The rest were 1990s on back. When I found broken glass in the hole it explained it. I had my girls scratching in the dirt with me using a butter knife and a Propointer.

Well the owner of the house before me was a real party animal. It wouldn't surprise me if they were throwing pennies at each other during the parties. lol.

I had that trouble once. He even seeded the front sidewalk strip. Every time I was out digging there were more. Even where I'd previously gone over. This kept up until I was out there doing a lil happy dance. He put down his beer and stumbled down off his porch.

"Whatcha find der!"

I held up a nice gold graduation ring.

"THAT's probably mine." , he tried.

I said can you describe the ring? Or the inscription?

"Naw.....I guess it ain't".

"Tell me, where can I git one o dose machines?"

It was my ring, I know, I put it there. LOL
I laughed long and hard! AFTER, I got back to my house. Never found any more pennies though. :dontknow:

Sometimes, it's just plain fun to go along digging nuggets in May. ;)

They add up.
