Pensacola beaches?

I will be passing through the panhandle on my way to Mississippi next month and I may just have the opportunity to stop for awhile somewhere and sweep a beach or two. I could use some recommendations for somewhere in the Pensacola area (just because the coast is nearer the interstate there) Any advice is welcome.

I doubt it. Still hoping for warmer spring break weather!

Any popular tourist beach is a good place to try. I actually found my first gold on a Pensacola beach. good hunting.

I was hunting Pensacola beach last month (Feb) when I was home on R&R. Beaches were sanded in pretty bad. Wish you the best of luck.
