So excited! We were on our way to the creek and noticed the were starting to cut the corn above it. The guy who owns it happened to be there so my husband stopped and asked. Still had his City uniform on and yes he played the young child card (thanks Rock!). The guy said we could hunt the field but to stay off when it rains. This area is LOADED with stuff, we find it in the run off on the side of the road and where it washes into the creek after a flood. People have warned us that this guy is difficult, but the fact my husband actually asked surprised him and I think it made the difference. Can't wait till tomorrow!!

Go by every rule the land owner sets no matter what it is, you could be making the contact of your life and he may have friends you can talk to about their land. Good Luck HH:hello2:

Sounds like the rules I have to follow. No hunting rules for you that I have to go by are,
1. No hunting when the field is wet.
2. Call before you go.
3. Call when you leave.
4. No hunting if crops are in.
5. No hunting the fields during hunting season.
6. No hunting the fields during hunting season on the weekends in both and only hunting on the week days in one. But it will be worth it when the new field gets pulled. Good Luck and make sure you follow the rules he sets. After he learns you are honest then ask if there is any other fields that you might be able to hunt on. Never know there might be more to hunt. rock
He also has people watch the fields even though he doesnt live there or near them.

You must be dancing a happy jig. Glad it worked in your favor. Have FUN! Kat

Nice to see a landowner helping you collect artifacts. Good Luck!!!

Hello,
I have a similar situation with a land owner who is known to be a little ornery. The wife and I gave him and his wife a gift certificate for a local supper club one time. Another time we gave them an ice cream pail of nice plump black berries we picked ourselves. Had the scratches to prove it! This year it was blue berries. Those small things have given us access to hunting their fields and enjoy the river. Good good luck!

When I use land owned by other folks I always pick up trash where I park my vehicle. Never know when the land owner may show up to see how you are doing and if they see garbage laying around they may just think you tossed it. Actually I pick up others trash on public land also when I park my truck.

I throw the big rocks to the side of the field for the owner.
