I'm posting this for my friend (Vino/his username) He stopped back at that old church in Phila on his way home for a short hunt and found a LC and this thing.
We don't know what it is, we think it is either lead or pewter. It's about the size of a modern silver dollar. What do you guys think? Anyone know what this is?
I just added a better pic, looks like it might be an L not a 1 making it a LOO not 100 on the back?

I know, it's so cool looking, he found a 1796 capped bust there at the same church this past summer along with I lost count how many LC's (15) I think. This thing is from that spot that has that history, makes it very exciting!

Is it oblong or round? The photobucket picture shows it to be round. I think it may be 1.00 on the back. Maybe a $1.00 token?

I was looking through this and found this watch fob, check out this link

It's hard to say but the pix are identical, seems like a casino token/counter/fob, the one in the pic looks like it is silver, while Vino's find is for sure pewter?

How about a side shot photo?

I can't find a match, the eagle ( if it is an eagle) is facing left and is not holding a shield. What is around the perimeter 011011011011?

Seems to me it could represent a Phoenix with the rays around its head.

Seems I remember one of these before that was I.D. ed as a gaming piece/counter.
I found one with 50 on it.

That is an interesting thought. Could it be a prototype?

Now this is the thought that I had too when I found the watch fob from that link that cw gave us. Vino has found numerous relics and coins in this site that are positive 1700's dates. Maybe a casino or tavern that used these original chips? I of course am just speculating. I'm going to try looking up stuff in the morning, I couldn't resist looking while on my way to bed.
