Pewter whistle I found May 21st at 2 old torn down schools site

I found this old pewter whistle at a site about 12 or 13 miles from here, when I posted it in the Whites forum I got a reply from someone saying it was made between 1830 and 1880 and they had just found one exactly like it and they were going to sell it on ebay well I searched ebay about the time he said he was going to put it up for bid and I found it. It was identical, I watched it go for $145 and couldn't believe it. The other day my brother said that if my whistle was his he'd sell it on ebay and I said no way I'll sell it.

Gypsy I did a search for pewter whistles and I found that one, back right after I found the whistle, it's amazing what some people will pay for things on ebay.
