A youngster came by to day and I believe I have this figured out. Sorry for all the stupid threads. Now I will be able to show you good people some of the relics I have been finding on the old plantation.
Lunch Bag, I find these buttons are pretty consistent with dwellings from the late 18th cent. to early 19th century. I put them up here for people just to look at, not expecting anyone to date them. The interesting thing about this sight is that it is only about two hundred yards from were the hammered coins came from in my thread earlier. Just like Coastal Georgia we have centuries of homes put right on top one another. Thanks for taking the time to look and ask questions, Cheers!
