Forgive me if this shows up twice. I had an error that said the files were too big, so I made the pics smaller.

The highlight is the token.

Pittsburgh Railway with a locomotive emblem on one side and on the other "Good for one Fare"
Almost gave up on it because i thought it was a bottle cap. It was next to the brown bottle glass.

Very cool token, any idea on age?

Not to step on the thread, but I've found four of those and they all say 1922. Other area detectorists have posted them, and nobody is sure whether 1922 is actually the date the tokens were made. Pittsburgh Railway Co. was the electric trolleys that ran all over Pittsburgh and some of the suburbs into the '90's. Welcome aboard, deepskyal!

Great token - Rail finds are always interisting.

Cool token! I've never found a railway token but it's on my list.

Just curious if you remember what reading the token came up as?
I have a railyard I'd like to check, but if you don't have a target to shoot for, the tones will drive you crazy and deaf!

very cool finds congrats to you ;)

Yep, the date on mine is also 1922. It's Brass and the signal wasnt too different from a pull tab, except i ran my disc. up and it still crackled like a tab.
Soooo...if your hunting and your just a hair over pull tabs and it's a broken signal......dig, man, dig!

Probably why it was left in this "worked out" park.

Al

There is a second style token from Pittsburgh Railways from the 40's...just looked it up.
