All I've dug lots of harness and tack buckles - but never anything like this. Found where a home built in ~1831 is and not far from where a piece of a brass stirrup was uncovered. A Google search shows a similar artifact found on a Czech website similar to TNet (first pic). The second pic of a whole buckle is from another member's response to the first. For its size it feels heavy and is non-ferrous. Can anyone confirm its ID and give an approximate age?
