Pilgrims badge ????

Had this some time ago, seen similar described as pilgrims badges. They say it's a dagger in the centre, to be honest I'm not too sure. The object does look though like it's made of pewter. Found it in England.

It looks like the dagger might of rotated at one point, or is it the way its fixed together?

It is interesting. It looks as though the 'dagger' has a central pin connection which has been pushed off centre in relation to the wheel/compass shape thingy.
As Crusader asked - If properly centred, could the 'dagger' spin?
I've googled pilgrim badges and seen nothing similar.

I have no idea. Is the outside rim solid or step back & therefore mabe fit into a larger object
