Pinpointing with the stock ATP coil?

Some great input here...While I realize that not every coil is identical, it would seem that the normal "center" of the coil, or the bullseye as it pertains to pinpoint would be somewhat the same on each coil.
Is the coil image on the left the normal pinpoint center of the AT Pro stock coil?
Is the coil image on the right representative of the wiggle method?

Thanks so much for your advice man. I got the 5X8 coil a few days ago and,.....as christo' said, it IS like a "totally new machine".

Pin pointing is dead-on every time (On MY ATP it's just forward of the coil connection.) Combined with the Pro-Pointer (Thank You God!),
I'm digging at "lightspeed" compared to two weeks ago :occasion14:

Congrates man its a whole new world now it'll bring those old iron/trashy places befor u had trouble with back with ease

I'm still hesitant to buy the 5x8. Why does it make such a difference vs the stock coil?

It does like 80% that have said makes it more stable on dry & wet land, lightens it, balances the detectors much better, has better separation in trashy areas aswell. Like I've said it does make the pro a different animal those who have used the 5x8 I'm sure would say the same

I'm really new to both metal detecting AND the ATP but...FWIW in MY limited experience ( I've only got a few months doing any of
this at all)...the 5X8 coil kicks ass!

I'm hunting some REALLY trashy areas (Very old but very popular parks here in Oregon) and the 5X8 coil has made things a lot easier
on me. I'm still digging the same stuff I was with the stock coil but....It's (The 5X8 coil) MUCH easier to pinpoint and I honestly haven't
noticed any real "deficiency" (Depth-Wise) as far as finding some pretty cool stuff.
