Pitcher Id ?

I can't find any info on this pitcher . I think the marking on the bottom means - Republic of San Marino . San Marino is a very tiny independent nation located in Italy . We got it in a boxlot of dishes and pottery at a tailgate auction several years ago for $2 . Everything was wrapped in 1960's newspaper .Thanks for any information !
