I don't run from anything myself! BUT I cant run anymore ! heck walking is getting to be a problem with me now! pretty soon ill be saying that "I don't walk away from anything!" but ill be at full speed in my wheelchair going the other way! And God bless that man for protecting his dog! If your a pet lover (like I am) these pets become one of the family and I don't know if I would punch a bear over it , BUT id sure a heck put many rounds down range to make my point!

I agree this guy has some guts, but he is damn lucky.. The title could have very easily read " Man punches bear in face and gets mauled to death"..

good read, very lucky man, however what is that saying "act like prey, become prey" he showed that bear that he and dog are not going to be easy as prey. Glad they are both OK

I've heard a Game Warden say that on TV already.
If a bear tries to Wrestle You, punch it as hard as you can Square in the Snout.

I heard about this in the regional news a day or so ago. I laughed. That guy has huge cajones and is pretty lucky. But hey, you have to admire his spirit!
