Hi, I found this platter today and Im having issues finding any information on the markings. it is stamped with a 55 and some strange picture ive attached some pictures any thoughts or direction to find out anything regarding this platter would be great thank you!!, see picture '

The makers mark look mid east (arabic). The 55 may be the silver to brass content, but not absolutly sure.

Welcome to TNet, and thanks for bringing the platter.

I believe the "55" would indicate the thickness of the plating. I cannot decipher the marks. I need new glasses...

Thanks for the ideas of direction, Ive looked into arabic and cannot seem to match it to anything. I may just need to take the platter into a shop somewhere hopefully they will have some info. Anyone else have any input id love to hear!
