Playground relics

[thrillathahunt]

Today was my first hunt of 2012. Although I prefer hunting old homesites, today I decided to visit a couple of local school playgrounds that I have not detected in quite some time, since the kiddies are all on winter break.

For those of you who hunt school playgrounds, (also known as tot-lots) you know that on occasion, surprisingly good finds can be made.

Today's finds were from two elementary school wood chip areas, that included $3 and something in change and the following "relics" The ring is pretty nice and is marked .925 CZ. Also dug a cross whistle (very interesting). All in all, not a bad first hunt. Thanks for looking!

I really like hunting tot lots, as you just never know what you will come across! Nice silver ring! Is the cross marked at all? Looks like it might be gold or silver. Thanks for sharing your hunt!

I like that Texas penny!

Thanks romeo-1 and lookin.....

The cross is not marked, but it looks to be silver plated brass as you can see wear areas on it.
