Playing in the Weeds Today. I Think I Am Getting Defective Air in My Tanks

I found a small pocket of goodies. However , for the last two dives the gold has eluded me. I am blaming that on my air fills. That's my story and I'm sticking too it!

Got a 1898 O Barber quarter, two Washington's, two mercs, a rosey and a war nickel. A sterling ring and a very small sterling something, maybe a ring top? It has a D on it and what looks like a small hinge. Three buffalo. a 1917, 1926 and a no date. 7 wheat's and a Canadian king George V 1932.

Of course the Barber quarter is another semi key date. Would love to find one in the water that wasn't hammered!! Just like my 1904 S half.

My usual assortment of buckles and snaps. I did find an interesting piece of steel. I need to go out and get it and take a picture of it. Maybe someone has a clue as to what it is.

Enjoy the pictures. I enjoyed the dives. A good day to relax in the water.

Too bad you can't dredge the area.Or can you, that will get the goodies.

The place is run by the state and there are state police and state conservation officers everywhere. Dredging is illegal in Michigan. I wouldn't think of trying it!

Ya know, seeing your finds have brought back many good memories of a time long gone from me. All the finds remind me of many enjoyable hours in the water. I don't just mean the gold, silver, wonderful old coins either. The coloring that those brass buckles turn after being submerged for so long, the way the silver coins turn blackish, the way some pieces build up their own cocoon which break away and reveals the wonderful finds. Even the way some of the older pennies, nickels etc have so much detail.

It makes me yearn for a younger me, where I could do this all day long if desired.

Anyway, great finds and post, keep up the good work!

And although I don't know from air tanks, be careful !
