Hello again, can you help identify this tag please? Like all my other finds it was on Long Island.
As seen in photos has # 5 and under it looks to be a name I believe Moerch Felder

Great guess that's what I would go with ID tag for an employee

Boy...Have They Still Not Found My Luggage?

I might think...it is a Vintage Brass Baggage Tag!

Baggage Tag 2.jpg

Name: Moerch Felder 1 of 5 Pieces?

Quite possible a Railroad Luggage Tag...but I do not see what railroad as they usually put their name on their tags.

Maybe from the...Bay Shore Station...Long Island?

Most Likely should be "Moershfelder" Split in 2 Because of the Hole
The Moershfelder family name was found in the USA between 1880 and 1920. The most Moershfelder families were found in the USA in 1880. In 1880 there were 4 Moershfelder families living in New York. This was about 50% of all the recorded Moershfelder's in the USA. New York and 1 other state had the highest population of Moershfelder families in 1880.

In 1880, Cutter & Grinder and Works In Planing Mill were the top 2 reported jobs worked by Moershfelder. The most common Moershfelder occupation in the USA was Cutter & Grinder. 50% of Moershfelder's were Cutter & Grinders.
