Although your mineral finds are ineed "fire-born" (igneous)... they show the distincctive characteristics and color of coal clinkers (what's left after coal gets burned at high temperatures).

Looks like rocks like they have on RR tracks

Did your detector pick it up ? coal coke or clinkers will give a tone.
