I used to know the specific name of that mineral, but I've forgotten, darnit. :( So I suggest you post it in TreasureNet's "Rocks/Gems" forum... the rockhounds there are better at rock/mineral identification than the What-Is-It? forum, which deals mainly with "man-made" objects.
