Please recommend a decent scoop

Hi all. Still heading to Destin in July, and I need a long handled scoop. I dont want to go crazy and get the best since it will be used only for a week, and then will spend pretty much the rest of its life in the closet. I water hunt here at the local lake, but the Corps of Engineers has restrictions on digging instruments, I am probably pushing it with the little scoop I am using now. I just need something that will work for a week or so. Any Ideas? Thank you in advance HH Joe.

Why not get a mo bigger and better one? One find can allow you to pay for it . And if you get a smaller scoop, you may not be able to recover the best targets. Afterwards you can sell it , if you want. Just MHO HH Gayle

I'll send you my sunspot scoop... as long as I get to keep 1/2 of what you find. If you know it's going to spend its life in the closet, my advice would be see if you can borrow one or get a decent (not the best) one, and sell it on ebay afterwards.

Heres a picture of the scoop I use, I really like it.

It takes a big bite, has small holes at rear of scoop and is really stout. If you use it 1 week a year it will last a couple of lifetimes.

Go to his site and email him,explain to him your only gonna be using it for a week or so.Ask if he has any "blemished" ones for sale.They work just as well,(only the cosmetics are blemished)and they cost less.

Rileys is the same as proscoops. I have visited Rileys and the same guy makes the proscoops. They share the same machinery and space.
