Please tell me what you think it is.

I do not know of any errors or varieties with either of those 2 years/mint marks.

I'm new, but I think those are pennies.

HAHAHA, I'm waiting to see if someone realizes it. I don't know if it's real or not. I think it is, but we'll see. I've been so incredibly lucky lately.

I think it's an unplated cent. There is no trace of copper at all and looks just like the ones listed on eBay. :icon_scratch:

dawg I see bout' 2.5 cents in zinc thats a 12 percent profit homie. Better than what most stocks will get ya'

Maybe I'm wrong??? Idk, what do you guys think? I'll try to get closer pics

I really have no idea about the non-plated thing... to me it looks like a coin found through metal detecting... just dirty, from being buried underground

Basically an unplated cent is exactly what it sounds like. It is missing the copper layer/plating that most cents have, thus being "unplated."

I have never heard or seen one until I just looked at eBay. That one looks just like the ones I saw selling for over $100-$200.

Maybe it is just really badly corroded like infowarrior said, dug out of the ground. Maybe someone dipped it in acid?

Here's one I pulled a few months ago that was determined to be fake I believe because there were slight traces of copper on the memorial and around the edge of the cent. I kept it because I thought it was cool.

Not to be mean, but you might have better luck with this discussion in this forum Coins. CRHers aren't always the most knowledgeable when it comes to non-silver value.

Ok, I just figured most of the people that view the coins forum view the CRHing forum and it was found CRH, but ok!

I just think, based on the responses so far, no one here has a clue. I was hoping to help you find an answer. Good luck on the other forum with it.

the surface looks to rought to have been stamped as an unplated cent, but that's just my very uneducated opinion. I hope your find is legit.
