They both could be Hanna's. the one on the left has a little more of a notch than most but not uncommon. here are a couple found north west of you. DSCN0845.JPG

Thanks the reply! They seem very thin and the bases seem a little different. I'm sure there are lots of variations. Thanks for the ID!

I have looked at them again. but neither Hell Gap nor Rio Grande come to mind. A size reference would help. The one on the left could be a GB point type and if it was would be an Elko. But the distance seems a little out of the realm. Thou Elko's are found in Colorado most are found on the west side of the divide.

Try this link. It will help you ID Points. You can do it by region or by individual states. The Stemmed Point may be a Rio Grande or a Bajada. It looks similar to both. It also looks to have a wicked impact fracture to the tip. Not real sure on the other. Both are nice looking pieces though and some really nice material.

I would say the red one in the second photo was used as a knife.

Thanks for the link Grim. That will keep me busy for a while. I have the Over street guide and it is confusing! I am excited to get back to this area. It seems very old.
Thanks Old digger. I tend to think they used the tools however they needed them. Thanks for the posts.
