Hi everyone I'm sure a lot of you have dug your share of mason lids i sure have after digging and
saving them i got to looking at the porcelain parts and i noticed there was quite a variety of makers
and marks So i made a display of them like 16 of them and in the process of doing that i found one
with an error :o instead of saying > FOR < Mason Jars this one says > FAR < Mason Jars and now
i'm curious has anybody ever seen one like this ? would it be a collectible ? is it a rarity ? or an.......
EBAY treasure $$$ i mean how were these letters applied machine or hand ? did the letter person
mess up one day ?
I guess i just wanted to share this with everyone here and see what kind of feedback / info i get
maybe some of you will look at your lids a lot closer now instead of chucking them in the trash ?
and maybe not ? take a look any information is appreciated !!

I have dug a couple, the two I have found had lead seal around them, that's what, enabled me to detect them.

We have some of those, a few still with the old jars. Never paid much
attention to the lettering though. I guess I should take a closer look .
