Found this in a little old dump in the middle of the woods today that looks like it had only been dumped in one time. Its in a washout leading downhill. Found a couple of complete medicine bottles there a few years ago but today all I seen was broken stuff, but the rains did wash it out pretty good and I seen broken glass I never seen before so i scratched around. I was thinking that these little porcelean discs were used in the bottom ? of some old creme/lotion jars, but just not really sure what they really are? Any clue?

That is a ceramic liner for an old zinc screw-cap jar lid. (aka mason jar lid)

Jason that is technically a pressed glass lid for jars, and in this case, as almost always, it's milk glass.

As everyone else said, bottom to a Mason Jar Lid.

So is there any value to a lid like that? I have found quite a few of those myself. I know of a sweet spot for old glass/medicine bottle's.

Not really. I've never seen anyone who wanted to buy them.

Certain ones can be worth some money, keep them and do the homework to find out which ones you have and then list them on Ebay, it may not be huge money but there are a few decent liners out there...

Well thank you for that info epackage! I was just about to toss the one's I have, I will try and research them later this week. Waiting for the weather to clear up, so I can do some more hunting for bottle's!
