Possible logging tool????

Iron object found today in upstate NY. I am in an old logging town and have found numerous logging tools but am baffled by this object. Any help is always appreciated.

From what I can see, it's designed to take two ropes/chains into a single
pulling point.

The hook on the left side looks like it was over stressed and broke, which
is probably why they tossed it.

Still, a cool find..:occasion14:
