Here is a piece of what would look like part of a whistle. Looks like it had silver wash at one point. It came out of an area of both known Rev and Civil war Era.
Anyone know what this us?

Now that is neat looking. Have you tried to cover like maybe 3/4 of the open side with your finger and blowing it?

No, it still has dirt packed down in it. The open end is a little rough like broken off. Strange thing it is!
