Possible trade brass/ armband

Hello everyone, I found this piece in a field which produced a 1786 half reale. There are surrounding fields which have produced countless native american stone artifacts. I am guessing this piece is probably trade brass, with the design made my Europeans, possible 16 or 1700s?? Has anyone seen designs like these? I found this relic today and am very curious as to what it may be.

You can see 2 holes on it appears it was attached to something....possibly a musket side plate.

That is a nice engraved arm band. They were made with a hole at each end where a thong was put through and tied to fit the arm. I would like to see more pictures of the engraving, look closely for possible makers mark. Many were produced in silver and marked by the maker. Should be professionally restored, don`t try to unbend yourself, that is an awesome find! Middle to late Historic period 1670-1820
