Uh-oh. I think I might have damaged the patina on 1 of my ancient Roman coins. I'm trying to clean them, and now 1 has a damaged patina. Will the patina stay damaged forever? :(
 
Probably, but we'd need to see the extent of the damage. Do you have some before and after photos?
