Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Keep them coming.
It's been a bit of a whirlwind time here.
Hypertension, mild heart attack.
On Weds. my special needs son fell at school and cracked his tooth in half during gym.
They took him to a dentist and my car is not running correctly so someone from teh school had to come and pick me up and before I could get there (his school is an hour from my house) they gave him novacaine not knowing that he is absolutely terrified of needles and not bothering to use a topical before giving him the shot.
He reacted very badly and kept screaming for me.
It took hours to get the tooth somewhat repaired. (They said they could not reattach the real tooth so they made a filling.)
For some reason when it was all over and he calmed down, I passed out. I guess it was the tension.
Anyhow, we got home late and it was my daughter's 16th birthday but everyone was exhausted so we decided to make the cake on Thurs.
Thurs morning I got a call at 8:30 am that the filling had fallen off at school and they were taking him downtown to a pediatric specialist who works with special needs children.
Again, someone from the school came to get me and we went to the school and then to the dentist's office.
The doctor was great, he didn't rush Noah, he made sure the numbed before the shot, he talked to him, made him laugh, and Noah held my hand and had no problem even though it took even longer to do because this time the dentist made sure to attach the filling all the way to the gum line.
We didn't get home till almost 4pm and then it was back out the door to attend a meeting at my daughter's school about her upsoming New York trip and a 2 hour vocal performance. (mandantory for her grade unfortunately or we would have skipped it.)
It was also decided during the course of the day yesterday to change my son's schedule and medicine so I had stop and fill a prescription.
Giant Eagle sucks. First they said they didn't have it, then they said they did, then they said it would take 30 minutes, then they said it would take an hour, then they said it was generic, then when I went to pay for it they said there was no generic. Frankly I will be surprised if it is the even the right medicine.
We finally got home at 10pm and by then all anyone wanted to do was eat something and go to bed.
The killer is the insurance provided for my children by my ex does not include dental and has a 500 deductible on prescriptions per child.
The dental bill for the two days is almost 3000.
And the presciptions I had to pay for out of pocket.
Still, there are good things..so far I haven't had any calls from the school telling me the filling dropped off again and I haven't had time to worry about me because I have been too busy worrying about the kids!

So please keep the prayers coming. And thank you for ones sent already. It really does help to know people are thinking of you and wishing you the best.
