pretty rainbow finches

when I visit my mother in a skilled nursing center, NOT a nursing home!!!!! She had major surgery last month and just got out of the hospital 2 weeks ago and has to learn to walk and feed herself again. Anyway, in the room they use for a dining room, they have in one corner a glassed in aviary, filled with several pairs of exotic finches. I took my camera when I visited mom yesterday, and took some pics of these pretty birds. And Y'all know I will share them with ya.........Enjoy NGE

Thanks fossis, mom is getting better, and the real name of the rainbow finch is Gouldian finch, it is endangered, and comes from Australia.........NGE

Those are pretty birds. And glad to see your mom is still around. They ain't no more 'nursing homes' like there were 50 years or so ago. (I hope and pray) You keep in mind that our mom's taught us how to walk and feed ourselves, so she'll handle it. Nice pics, nge.
