but silver been going up crazy too - $36.92
I sold small handful couple of months ago got like $2600 an oz for gold
and like $28 an oz for silver
Wish i had waited

Going back hundreds of yrs, the ratio of silver to gold was either 15:1 or 16:1. Now silver is almost $40. 40 X 16 is $640. Either gold is over priced or silver is underpriced. I’m terrible at economics and I wonder what’s changed now?

Which means the money in my bank account is worth even less. I’m glad I at least have some gold. Not near enough though!

It would be not a problem seeing the ratio @ 50
Which would put silver @ $73

Silver cracked $40 a week or so ago, continues to climb and is expected to hit $50 very soon. Screen shot is for the last 3 months. Silver up 22.42% or $7.80. Currently at $42.59,

You're close, just a tad low compared to what APMEX is reporting as 1-year price increases for Gold & Silver. They're showing the 1-year rise in Silver is 48.28%, and Gold is up 45.86%. I use the APMEX site to check Gold/Silver spot prices every day. Of course, there always can be fluctuations, but I think their data is pretty accurate.

I paid $2950 for this double eagle in Dec of 2022. My Christmas present to me.😜Similar coins are pushing $4000 on eBay. The gold didn’t change. What changed was the amount of fiat currency it takes to buy it. 😩

Beach gold is drying up also, I figure at this rate... five years from now it will be a rarity to find it. Then ten years the end of a era for the fresh drop hunters, by then I'm sure they will have forced digital on us.. add no gold..

This morning was checking out the threads, let me see what precious metals are up to, so clicked on page 4 of this thread and saw this post. It takes me a while in the morning to fully wake up and I temporarily thought this was a current post being at the top of pg 4. Awake now⏰
Although thread started a bit over 3 months ago, not that long a time at all
