Properly tuned sluice

When I run my Keene A-52 sluice, I see sands and garnet migrating upstream between the riffles. Is this a good thing?

For the conditions and gold, mine is tuned just fine. Like you guys say let the river pick your equipment. At the end of the day I've run all the dirt I care to run.
